Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng is a Full Professor and Head of School of Computing at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. Before moving to Macquarie, Michael spent around 10 years at School of Computer Science, The University of Adelaide. Michael holds Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of New South Wales (UNSW) and did his Postdoctoral Research as a Research Scientist at CSIRO's ICT Centre. From 1999 to 2001, Michael also worked at UNSW as Visiting Research Fellow. Prior to same, he spent 6 years as a Senior Software Engineer in several industries.
Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng has more than 300 publications in the form of edited books and proceedings, refereed book chapters, and refereed technical papers in journals and conferences, including but not limited to the, ACM Computing Surveys, ACM TOIT, ACM TOMM, ACM TKDD, VLDB Journal, Computer (Oxford), IEEE TPDS, TKDE, DAPD, IEEE TSC, WWWJ, IEEE Computer, IEEE Internet Computing, Communications of the ACM, VLDB, ICDE, ICDM, CIKM, EDBT, WWW, ICSE, ICSOC, ICWS, and CAiSE.
Prof. Sheng is ranked by Microsoft Academic as one of the Most Impactful Authors in Services Computing (i.e., ranked Top 5 All Time) and in Web of Things (i.e., ranked Top 20 All Time). He is also the recipient of the AMiner Most Influential Scholar Award on IoT (2007 - 2017), ARC Future Fellowship (2014), Chris Wallace Award for Outstanding Research Contribution (2012), and Microsoft Research Fellowship (2003). He is a member of the IEEE and the ACM.

POSTdoctoral RESEARCHERS
Yuanjiang Cao is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. He holds Ph.D. degree in Computer Software Engineering from University of New South Wales (UNSW) . He obtained his Bachelor's degree in IOT(Internet of Things) Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang, China.
His research interests include, but are not limited to, generalization in reinforcement learning, domain generalization, and adversarial robustness.

Yang Zhang is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the same university, and previously, he completed his Master's degree in Library and Information Science at Wuhan University in Wuhan, China.
Throughout his career, Yang has been actively involved in numerous significant national research projects. He has contributed to the academic community as an author of various research papers and has also taken on the role of Assistant Editor for several books. His research interests are diverse, with a particular focus on Natural Language Processing, Scientometrics, and Bibliometrics. Additionally, Yang has embarked on a new journey as a sessional lecturer at Macquarie University, starting from August 2023.

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCHERS
Munazza Zaib Ghori graduated with a Bachelor and Master in Software Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Pakistan in 2014 and 2017 respectively. Since January 2019, she has joined the Intelligent Computing Laboratory to pursue MRes leading to Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng and Dr. Wei Emma Zhang. Prior to the same, Munazza has worked in numerous capacities, i.e., as a Search Engine Optimizer, Content Writer, and Teaching Assistant, and recently, as a Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. Munazza has experience of being an Exchange Student at the University of Tokyo, Japan and was a Visiting Lecturer at Department of Computing, Bursa Technical University, Turkey. Her research interests primarily rests in convergence of Natural Language Processing, Text Analysis, Sentiment Analysis, and IoT.
Venus Haghighi is currently a Ph.D. Student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng. Venus obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 2013 and Master of Science in Computer Architecture in 2016 from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran. She, in particular, focused on Mobile Cloud Computing during her Master's research.
Venus's research interests include, but are not limited to, Distributed Computing, Cloud Computing, IoT, IoT Security, and Machine Learning.

Behnaz Soltani is currently a Ph.D. Student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng and Dr. Yipeng Zhou. Behnaz completed a Bachelor in Computer Hardware Engineering from the University
of Tabriz, Iran in 2015 and Master of Engineering in Computer Systems' Architecture from the Sharif University of Technology, Iran in 2017. Behnaz contributed to a Research Paper awarded with a Best Paper Award at the 11th International Symposium on Networks-on-Chips (NOCS 2017).

Zhaoyang Zhang graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Media Production from University of Sunderland, England in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Zhaoyang is a Cotutelle Ph.D. Student at Macquarie University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng.
Zhaoyang 's primary research interests include, but are not limited to, Archival Science, Information Management, Informatrics, and Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Elaf Alhazmi obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science from King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Saudi Arabia, and a master's degree from McMaster University, Canada. In 2022, she received the first place Excellence in E-Learning Award at Umm Al-Qura University based on her academic skills in teaching and learning . Currently, she is Ph.D. student at Macquarie University under the supervision of Prof. Michael Sheng and Dr. Wei Emma Zhang.

Saqr Thabet is currently a Ph.D. Student under the supervision of Dr. Yipeng Zhou and Prof. Dr. Michael Sheng. Saqr received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Aden, Republic of Yemen in 2011 and a Master of Engineering degree in Electronic Science and Technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), P.R.China in 2016. Saqr published several research articles in journals and conferences, he received the Best Presentation Award at the 4th International Conference on Computer Communication and the Internet (ICCCI 2022) and the 6th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing (ICDSP 2022). Saqr's research interests include Federated Learning, Distributed Computing, Wireless Communication and Machine Learning.
